Adobe AIR Beta 2 がリリースされていました。

Beta 2 は、Beta 1と同居できるようで、前のバージョンのAIRはアンインストールは不要です。どうしても前のバージョンでないと動かないものがあるかもしれないので、そのための救済措置かな。
ただし、Beta 1の使用期限は2007年12月11日まで。

で、もうひとつ前のバージョン…Apolloと呼ばれていたα版はアンインストールが必要のようです。
アンインストールの方法はリリースノートに記載があります。

Uninstall Alpha 1 before installing Beta 2

Though AIR Beta 2 will work side by side with an instance of AIR Beta 1 and you can run in the same system applications that were created for Beta 1 with applications that were created for Beta 2, you will need to uninstall any instances of Apollo Alpha 1. The Apollo Alpha 1 program has expired and this runtime will no longer work.

Before installing Adobe AIR Beta 2, please uninstall Alpha 1 versions of the runtime:

To uninstall the Apollo 1.0 Alpha 1 runtime on Windows:
1.In the Windows Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel.
2.Select the Add or Remove Programs control panel.
3.Select “Adobe Apollo 1.0 Alpha1” to uninstall the Apollo runtime.
4.Click the Change/Remove button.

To uninstall the Apollo 1.0 Alpha 1 runtime on Macintosh:
1.Delete the /Library/Frameworks/Adobe Apollo.framework directory.
2.Delete the /Library/Receipts/Adobe Apollo.pkg file.
3.Empty the Trash.

Macだと、「/Library/Frameworks」フォルダ内にある、「Adobe Apollo.framework」フォルダをフォルダ毎捨てる。
「/Library/Receipts」フォルダ内にある、「Adobe Apollo.pkg」ファイルを捨てる。
そしてゴミ箱を空に、で完了のようです。

それと、解説が英語だったので自信がないんですが、Parallelsのコヒーレンス機能を使っているときはAIRが動作しないというような記載がありました。

リリースノートにはBeta 2 での変更点など詳細に記載があります。
英語ばっかですが…。
